28 years has passed since the original edition of this text, and what this seventh edition continues to do is attempt to describe the real property law of Australia, but with recognition and due deference to the fact that, what drives land law is common law evolution, and increasingly statutory intrusion. This fragmented nature of law presents very considerable challenges, but what the authors continue to strive for is for an awareness and understanding of the differences and nuances between each jurisdiction.
