Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra is an exploration of our attitudes to time and to the values we hold in a poetic form. In this analysis of the text attention is focused on the kinds of ideas we hold regarding time: we dwell on the past and its mistakes, we fear the future and so cannot live in the present. How can these negative attitudes be transfomed into positive ones so that we can not only accept time's passing but affirm our temporality, including death.
