Displaying Trugernanna
Trugernanna acquired iconic status in colonial history as "Truganini, the last Tasmanian", whose articulated skeleton was on public display in a glass-fronted cabinet in the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery from 1904 until 1947. This chapter considers the implications of displaying the indigenous body.
