Due to widespread globalisation, the number of students studying abroad is escalating dramatically. Vietnamese students also contribute significantly to the increasing number of international students who mostly come from developing countries with the hope of obtaining qualified education in developed countries such as American, Australia and United Kingdom. This chapter reports a study about Vietnamese students‘ views on conceptual and functional aspects of health literacy. Using data from semistructured interviews and focus group discussions, this study offers insightful knowledge on cultural issues that influence health literacy from the Vietnamese students‘ perspective. Some implications for improving Vietnamese students‘ health literacy are also suggested based on the findings of this study.
