LGBT tourism is the development and marketing of tourism products and services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people (LGBT). It is a niche form of tourism pursued by destinations, hospitality, and travel service providers wishing to attract this community (Southall and Fallon 2011). This tourism market also encompasses people whose primary intent in traveling is associated with their sexual or gender identity. This might include their visits or stays at LGBT-friendly destinations, festivals/events, exclusive accommodation/resorts, and on cruise ships (Vorobjovas-Pinta 2021).
