Located in central northern Tasmania, this karst has formed in Ordovician limestone at 200-600m ASL at the foot of the Great Western Tiers that form the northern margin of Tasmania's Central Plateau. The limestone is contained within an area of 26km east - west and up to 10 km north-south.
