The subject of my recent research is the role of bodies as tools of political action. Through drawing and its presentation I explore how socially transformative the phenomenological lived body can be. The inquiry is driven by a desire to loosen habitual thinking and to heighten awareness of how everyday environments shape us. In this exhibition these issues are addressed through inquiry into iconography, materials and spatial strategies.

The inquiry is located in the area of contemporary art and feminism. It contributes to questions about the relations of the body politic and power within social and political discourse.
