Church and State

Church and State was selected for inclusion in the Mdina Biennale by curator Dr Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci and presented at the Mdina Cathedral Museum, in Mdina, Malta.<p> </p><p>Church and State has established ongoing international opportunities for publication that have included works by Vella being included in additional group exhibitions in Malta and Austria. </p><p>The Mdina Biennale 272 page hard copy catalogue was widely circulated and the exhibition was covered in number of articles and reviews within Malta and beyond. </p><p>This project has inspired a series of material, bureaucratic and abstract investigations that are informing Vella’s current PhD project.</p>
