Overwritten/Underwritten; Mount Lyell Project

The multimedia work Over written / Under written layers geological and topographical maps, with aerial photographs of Mt Lyell’s mines. The affect conjures an early fossil and the texture of history. Add to this the soundscape of water traveling over rock and the distant maneuvering of vehicles, and you have Walch’s sensory palimpsest of the mine.
