Auditory perceptible landmarks in mobile navigation

In this article we introduce concepts for the use of auditory perceptible landmarks in route descriptions. Such auditory perceptible landmarks complement their visual counterparts and also stand to be beneficial for certain groups like the visually impaired and the elderly.
