The Australian National Algae Culture Collection, ANACC, maintains over 1000 strains of microalgae from Australian marine, estuarine and fresh waters from the tropics to Antarctica. As one of the six National Research Collections Australia, it is a significant respository of characterised Australian algal biodiversity.
