Review the performance of faced bulk insulation (i.e. using pliable building membranes) in hot, tropical and mixed climates. In particular analyse the correct positioning of the pliable building membrane for installation and apply simulation to analyse the potential condensation risks of using both faced and plain bulk insulation materials. Present special climate files recording Dew Point temperatures for every hour of a climatically indicative year. Readily available files have either Wet Bulb, Relative Humidity or Absolute Moisture Content, none of which are of direct use in condensation studies. Also present results for CSIRO-projected climates in 2030 and 2050.
