Enabling agricultural innovation

conference contribution
posted on 2023-05-24, 11:50 authored by Katherine EvansKatherine Evans
Activity in the agricultural landscape occurs behind or beyond the farm gate and across the biophysical, social and economic landscapes. All parts of this landscape need to be serviced for the whole system to function effectively. Different farming styles, from corporate to peri-urban, have different needs around innovation. The innovation cycle usually requires multiple partners, each doing what they do best. Dr Evans will present the role of the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture and examples of our work. Working effectively with government, private and community sectors ensures that public and private benefits are maximized for the benefit of Tasmania.
