The purpose of this paper is to evaluate gender equality and inclusion within the Ghanaian context through the examination of legislation, policies and programs. The paper further evaluates what governments, international organizations and civil society groups has been contributed towards addressing issues around the world of work, with particular focus on gender diversity, equality and inclusion in Ghana. The paper highlights the fact that gender activism has increasingly gained momentum and gender diversity, equality and inclusion issues have become fundamental to grassroots activism, national legislation, regional treaties and international declarations. Yet, despite all the apparent embracement of diversity and inclusion objectives, gender segregation, wage inequality, and weak institutional support systems have resulted in very little meaningful progress towards gender equality and inclusion.
