Much that is complex and mysterious in mathematics, geometry and music has been studied to try and find connections to the divine, the spiritual and other unworldly aspects of imagination. So it is no surprise to religious and spiritual ideas associated with geometry in any survey of the history of in art, literature, fabric design, architecture and in general in everything constructed by human hands. Mankind’s longstanding desire to prove the value of existence through sacredness and reason in the universe, to show that within them lies the cosmos, drove them to build temples as sanctuaries for the souls of the dead. This is evident in ancient artifacts and structures such as the design of pyramids in Egypt and Mexico.
