antFOCE: making FOCE work in the polar environment
conference contribution

The impacts of stressors have mostly been investigated in short-term experiments performed in the laboratory on isolated organisms. There is a dire need to go from individuals to communities, from short-term to mid-term and long-term and from the laboratory to the field. xFOCE systems are useful tools for that and several systems are being used (cpFOCE in Australia, swFOCE in the US, ...) and others in development (eFOCE in Europe).
