The tracking of southern elephant seals has inspired a unique collaboration between scientists from the Institute of Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) and musicians from the UTAS Conservatorium of Music. Tonight's collaboration is held as part of National Science Week 2012. Come and hear how a collaboration between IMAS researcher, Dr Mary-Anne Lea and Sydney-based sound artist and sculptor, Dr Nigel Helyer produces a unique musical experience through musicians Associate Professor Andrew Legg (piano), Dr Glen Hodges (guitar), Nick Haywood (double bass) and Alistair Dobson (saxophone).
