University of Tasmania: Celebrating 125 Years

The critical research issue was to create a film score for traditional and non-traditional classical and contemporary instruments that was effective in communicating multiple and varied people, programs, initiatives etc at UTAS in a manner that was sympathetic and supportive of the written narrative. The final score and recording blends disparate elements of musical texture, timbre, structure, technique and intent into a single coherent statement, underpinning and enhancing the key intellectual and emotional messages within the film.
