A mathematical model of a DC machine

A new mathematical model of a DC machine is described. It includes every armature coil, and enables an open-circuit or a short-circuit coil to be modelled. The differential equations were solved using Matlab. Predictions are shown from the model, and are compared with results from the actual motor.
