The emergence and re-emergence of antibiotic-resistant food-borne bacteria in recent times calls for concerted efforts, especially in developing countries. Children and immuno-compromised individuals suffer most from these pathogens. This article highlights burden of antibiotic-resistant food-borne diseases (FBDs) and possible solutions, focusing on developing countries.
