Mycoporellum microspermum and Asteroporum rimale, the latter name previously shrouded in some confusion, are synonyms of A. banksiae; the latter species is also lectotypified. Arthonia microsperma has been recorded for Australia in error and should be deleted from the Australian lichen census.
