Australiawill have a national electionwithin the next six months which provides an opportunity to reset emissions reduction law to drive a more ambitious domestic agenda to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It istherefore timely to reflect on past initiatives and consider future possibilities for Australian climate change law, to illustrate some of the challenges of developed country legislative approaches on emissions reduction.
