Continuing professional education in pharmacy in the Philippines. 1: An historical perspective

The history of mandatory continuing professional education (CPE) of pharmacists in the Philippines is reviewed. The provider system, the learning methods, materials and content used in the provision of continuing education are considered and detail of the management of CPE by the Philippine Pharmaceutical Association is described.
