journal contribution
posted on 2023-05-17, 09:03 authored by Smith, L, Kalus, C, Russell, P, Skinner, TCProlonged Grief Disorder, previously known as Complicated Grief, has been discussed within the literature base for over 60 years, however significant disparity has traditionally existed in the guidance of important issues such as definition, aetiology, assessment, and intervention within this population. Despite this, an increasing amount of research is now attempting to examine current conceptualisations and treatment approaches. The current literature base for Prolonged Grief Disorder leaves many unanswered questions fundamental to the guidance of appropriate clinical provision. The following review offers a contemporary synthesis of the literature in this regard and explores the limitations and directions for future practice.
