Introducing SC-HASS: The new SCAR standing committee on the humanities and social sciences

June 2018 was an important month for researchers within the humanities and social sciences (HASS) working on Antarctic topics. For the first time, the international Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) approved the formation of a permanent group aimed at coordinating and fostering scholarly activity in these areas.
