The presence of mammal remains such as those of the white-footed rabbit-rat Conilurus albipes in the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia is discussed. The species became extinct shortly after European Settlement and probably took place due to habitat change and loss from European farming practices and the introduction of domestic and feral animals.
