Meteorological records recorded at the Observatory, Hobart Town. Also includes leafing, flowering, and fruiting times of a few standard plants in the Royal Societies gardens for the month of August 1871.- Except in a warmer temperature than usual, the weather during this month departed less from the average normal cbaracter than usual. The deaths were much below the average of the previous 14 years, and specially so in those at all ages under 20 years old.
