G. tasmanica is a small and rare tuber usually living rather deep in the soil. It differs from G. drummondi of West Australia chiefly in the form and colour of its spores. Also it is closely related to G. parkiana and G. trabuli of North America. Habitat simiilar to G. tasmanica. Includes brief description.
