Photocured polymers in ion-selective electrode membranes .5. Photopolymerised sodium sensitive ion-selective electrodes for flow injection potentiometry
journal contribution
posted on 2023-05-16, 10:11 authored by Farrell, JR, Iles, PJ, Dimitrakopoulos, TA photocured sodium ion-selective electrode, based on the ionophore N,N'-dibenzyl-N,N'-diphenyl-1,2-phenylenedioxydiacetamide (ETH 157), was developed and evaluated. The robust nature of the photocured membrane made it ideally suited for measurements in flow injection potentiometry. The detection limit was 4x10-5 M. The electrode was used successfully to determine sodium levels in a range of drinking water and environmental water samples.
