The usual monthly meeting of the Society was held on the evening of Tuesday, the 9th of August, T. Giblin, Esq., in the chair.-Mr. Gould read a paper on "The habits of the large crayfish (Astacus sp. ?) of the northern rivers of Tasmania."- Mr. Allport exhibited a young salmon from the breeding ponds at the Plenty.
