The monthly evening meeting of the Society was held on Tuesday, the 13th August.His Excellency Charles Du Cane, Esq., President, in the chair. Mr. M. Allport (in the absence of the author) read a paper by C Gould, Esq., F.G.S., "On the existence of large animals (probably fresh water seals) in the upland lakes of Tasmania."
