It does so in the context of the High Court's recent decision in Lyons v Queensland [2016] HCA 38. We also consider the impact of the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities (CRPD), to which Australia is a signatory, the steps taken in the United States to accommodate deaf and blind jurors, and recent law reform and legislative developments in Australia.
