Since my "Field Memoranda for Tasmanian Botanists" was published sixteen years ago (1874), there has been a considerable alteration in the nomenclature of species as adopted in Hooker's Flora of Tasmania, as well as additions to the list of species then known. Now that our zealous Secretary is about to issue a new and comprehensive Descriptive Catalogue of all the Ferns of tbe island known at the present time, I have thought it desirable to place on record a revised list of the species, together with as complete a list of the localities of the various species as are known to me, with the desire to aid him in making this portion of his valuable work as complete as possible. Includes descriptions of species and a table listing Tasmanian ferns, club mosses, and pillworts.
