Tasmanian earth tremors, 1883-4-5

The minute earth-shocks which have, during the past two years, been adding a new chapter to the history of our island, have been to me from the first a special subject of observation and study. I offer a brief description of some of the apparatus which I have employed in the detection and measurement of the tremors.
