An elaborate set of towing-tank experiments on the wave generation oftbree geosim catamaran models was condncted in a towing tank in order to investigate the predictive accuracy oflinearized wave-generation theory in both deep water and water offinite depth. The models were representative of high-speed catamarans. It was shown that for these models, the wave pattem was very accurately predicted by the theory, except in the region very close to the critical depth Froude number. In addition to the wave elevatiou itself, summary plots are also presented. These show the variation of the overall wave height in a selected and critical part of the wave field as a function of the model configuration and the Froude number of interest.
