Water power potential of south-western Tasmania

The potential average energy obtainable from the major rivers of South-West Tasmania is about 25% of the total hydro-electric potential of the State. Water power is the only indigenous source of energy of any significance in Tasmania. It is a non polluting and self renewing source o f energy.
