What is innovation?

For the past three years I have had the fortune of being involved with a group of dedicated researchers at the Australian Innovation Research Centre (AIRC). The AIRC boasts a sizable team of researchers drawn from many disciplines and regions throughout the world. If you spend enough time in the office you will inevitably encounter a discussion concerning the definition of innovation.
