Three hundred and twelve isolates of wood-inhabiting fungi were obtained from 18 trees, representing 91 species or operational taxonomic units (OTUs). A number of these were new records for Australia or for the living tree substrate. The cultural characteristics of the 20 most common species are described and illustrated in detail.
