A Very Gospel Christmas

Fully staged peformance of traditional spirituals and contemporary African american gospel music. Also original material written by Andrew Legg and Michael Spiby. SGC performed with a traditional gospel band including piano, Hammond organ, drums and bass and 8 horns. Featured performers included: Andrew Legg (piano, voice and conductor), Maria Lurighi (voice), Michael spiby and Silvie Paladino. Legg continues to investigate the transculturalisation of African American gospel into a secular, Australian context through performance.
