This is a story of history and memory, and how Aboriginality became invisible within one isolated community. In the early nineteenth century sealers kidnapped Tasmanian Aboriginal women to work and live with them on Kangaroo Island. Together they established farms and had children but within a few generations the land was lost and almost none of their descendants knew of their Tasmanian Aboriginal ancestry. Today they are unearthing their lost history.
