Festivals have the potential to enrich lives; they help us celebrate and bring communities together, providing opportunities for entertainment, publicity, job creation and increased tourism (Holmes, Hughes, Mair, & Carlsen, 2015). In order to fulfil their potential in these regards, festivals must be sustainable in their own right – that is, they must be able to demonstrate their economic, social, and environmental sustainability to salient stakeholder groups in order to secure their ongoing support (Getz & Andersson, 2010; Hede, 2007; Holmes et al., 2015). This report provides an overview of stakeholder perceptions of the economic, social and environmental impacts of the Cygnet Folk Festival, 2018 for your consideration.
