In late 2021, the Tasmanian State Government committed $1.5 million to provide cooked lunches to students in 30 government schools over two years. The School Lunch Project is led by School Food Matters. This interim report provides preliminary findings from 2022, the first year of the School Lunch Project. The report focuses on the benefits and challenges of delivering nutritious cooked lunches to students in grades Kinder to Year 10 across 15 Tasmanian government schools and presents preliminary findings associated with doing so.
