<p>The Healthy Tasmania strategy aims to support all Tasmanians “to have the opportunity to live healthy, active lives in communities that support connections to people, <br>place and culture”.1 A key long-term outcome of the Healthy Tasmania strategy is to strengthen social connection among Tasmanians. This includes building connections and respect between diverse community members and encouraging community participation. The aim is for fewer Tasmanians to feel isolated and lonely. This reports explains:</p> <div>• What social connection is,</div> <div>• The state of social connection in Tasmania,</div> <div>• How social connection can be strengthened,</div> <div>• How the Healthy Tasmania strategy aims to build social connection.</div><p></p>
