The Carbon Storage Partnership (CSP) is a singularly‐coordinated, multi‐party, transdisciplinary consortium developing the knowledge and technologies required to underpin profitable, sustainable and socially‐acceptable pathways to a carbon‐neutral livestock sector by 2030. Module 1 of the CSP ‐ Sustainable Pathways to CN30 (SPCN30) ‐ provides leadership for all CSP investments. This report outlines our vision for communications, monitoring and evaluation, risk management and recruitment of the CSP steering committee. These plans articulate pathways for adoption of CSP research through communication and extension channels within and outside the CSP, together with a process for governance. Extension conducted will be partly occur via the CarbonEDGE package, a consolidated set of information designed to train consultants in carbon capture technologies. The present report also outlines (1) our literature review on effects of grazing management on productivity, profitability and resource condition (e.g. pasture persistence, biodiversity, soil function and soil carbon), (2) feedback gathered in semi‐structured interviews, and (3) a plan for assessments of biodiversity and natural capital. We have already completed four communications activities to raise awareness of natural capital accounting planned in SPCN30.
