Investigates the use of ground-based spectral solar radiation measurements for examining atmospheric aerosol properties in the marine boundary layer over the tropical Western Pacific. Solar radiation observations were made from November 1st 1992 to June 30th 1993 at Nauru Island. Broadband and spectral direct, diffuse and global components of solar irradiance were monitored simultaneously. Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Tasmania, 1997. Includes bibliographical references.
