The biochemistry of lipaemia and its associated pathological conditions have assumed wide interest especially in the aetiology and treatment of coronary artery disease. This thesis deals with some of the biochemical processes underlying possible aetiologies and treatment of coronary artery disease and atherosclerosis. Little attention is paid to the lipaemias associated with absolute upsets of lipid metabolism or lipaemia produced by associated disease.
