This folder contains my written submission for Master of Fine Arts (MFA Studies/Coursework) in Curatorial Practice and related fields. This paper will discuss some of the issues and problems in curatorial practice, focusing in the second half on the first of two exhibitions I will curate, as part of my MFA studies, for the Plimsoll Gallery, working title Dangerous Liaisons. The paper does not address except in passing, the second curated exhibition, Changes, as it is written some twelve to eighteen months before that show is to be held and before any major planning for it has been undertaken. The first section will address the role and responsibility of the curator and the idea of curatorial intent.
