This series of prints depicts seven interiors whose character is accentuated not only by the powerful presence of the light shining through the windows, but also by the story telling and the carefully selected passages from the Conservation Management Plan.

It is clear that Oak Lodge has maintained most of its original features and that the few structural changes, such as the dressing room or the surgery, have not impacted negatively on the house. To reflect this sense of stability and solidity over time Ruth works with the light and space to capture, in her prints, a sense of permanence which she has described as ‘poetic ambience’.
